Cup-chain links are widely used in a variety of applications, including jewelry making, clothing embellishment and home décor. In today's Beading Lesson, we'll try a new method for enhancing plain crystal cup chain with seed beads, crystal beads, and beading thread.
Crystal cup chain is basically a series of crystals that are connected by their individual cup-like settings. It makes a great foundation for this style of beadwork because you can build the stitches onto the chain.
To get started, you'll need a beading needle and a 2-yard length of beading thread, seed beads and crystals. Secure the thread end to the bracelet, then make a ladder stitch around each crystal as shown in the animated Bead Master illustrations.
