- JOOLTOOL™ Flexible Shaft Attachment with Adjustable-Mandrel Handpiece
- JOOLTOOL™ Diamond-Tipped drilling bit(s)
- Discardable piece of wood or cork at least 1/2" thick (to prevent drilling into work surface)
- Small container of water
Instructions
- Properly attach the Flexible Shaft with Handpiece onto the JOOLTOOL™ and install the drilling bit.
- Place piece of wood or cork between the stone or glass piece and the work surface.
Note: Use full speed (5000 RPM) for all the steps below.
Note: Dip the drilling bit in water before & during every step below to lubricate or submerge the stone in water and drill.
Step 1
- Drill slowly into the stone at first to form a “seat”.
Step 2
- Increase drilling pressure as hole gets deeper
- Make sure the stone is constantly lubricated, this makes a clean hole and prevents shattering.
Tip: To make bits last longer, drill slowly. Patience yields better results.
