SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Round Glass Beads (8mm)
  • Coral Seed Beads (4mm size)
  • 36” stretchy cord
  • scissors
  • glue

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Start by cutting a length of 36” of stretchy cord.  Slide one large (8mm) bead onto the cord and center it.
  2. Next, string 3 small (4mm) beads onto each free end of the cord.
  3. String one large bead onto one end.  Criss-cross the other cord end through this bead so that both ends of cord are going through it, and pull to tighten up the beads.
  4. Repeat steps 3 and 4, criss-crossing through the center large bead each time.
  5. Continue until you have about 7” made. Add or remove large beads and small beads to customize this to the size of your wrist.
  6. End with three small beads strung on each open end of cord.
  7. To finish, string one open end of cord back through the very first large bead you used.  Pull to tighten up the entire bracelet. Tie this end to the other string in a surgeon’s knot.
  8. Secure with a dab of glue, trim the ends and hide your knot inside the wood bead.

Approximate Crafting Time:   40 minutes
