Making Connections

Making Chandelier Components
Designed by Katie Hacker

Chandelier Components

Who says connections have to be boring and utilitarian? Make your own beaded components and use them for chandelier earrings or as decorative pendant hangers.

Materials
12 4mm bicones from SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS
2 silver eye pins from Beadalon
2 silver kidney ear wires from Beadalon
silver cable chain from Beadalon

Tools: round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, wire cutters

1. String three bicones onto an eye pin and loop the center using round-nose pliers.

2. String three more bicones onto the eye pin and make a basic loop.

3. Attach the center loop to an ear wire.

4. Cut two short lengths of chain (as desired) and attach the ends to the eye pin loops.

Turn the chandelier component upside-down
to make a decorative pendant hanger.
