How to Add Beads

1. Cut a 5-foot piece of 24-gauge wire. Hold the ends together, slide your fingers toward the middle, and make a gentle fold at the center. Place the fold against the side of the bracelet. Hold the on the outside in your non-dominant hand, and the end coming through the center in your dominant hand.

2. String a bead, and use your dominant hand to wrap the wire around the bracelet once. String one bead, pull the wire back through the center, and back across the outside to leave a bare wrap of wire next to the bead.

3. Wrap through the middle, back to the outside, add a second bead, wrap through the center.

4. Repeat step 3 until the first half of the wire becomes too short.

5. Make a wrap after the last bead.

6. Cross back toward the bead, and pass the wire back through the bead hole.

7. Pull the wire taut, and bring it under the wire running through the bead in the other direction.

8. Wrap around the wire several times, and trim off the remaining wire from the first half.

9. Pick up the other wire half, and continue adding beads the rest of the way around the bracelet. Finish the second end in the same manner as the first, by passing back through the last bead added, and wrapping the ends around.

How to Add a Slider

10. Cut an 8-inch piece of 24-gauge wire. Leave a 1-1/2 inch tail, and pull the wire up through the bracelet. Wrap the tail wire around the long wire twice. Trim off the short tail, and leave the long wire attached.

11. Make sure the slider is a good fit. The holes should sit to the outside, with the holes lined parallel to the bracelet.

12. Center the wire in the slider, and pull the wire out through the side.

13. Pull the wire across the bracelet, diagonally, pass back out through the hole of the slider on the opposite side, and then cross diagonally, back to the first hole.

14. Pass back across and out of the second hole.

15. Pass straight across the bracelet to the first hole, go through the hole, across the slider, and out the hole on the opposite side.

16. Cross over the bracelet diagonally, and out through the opposite hole.

17. Wrap back across the bracelet, and out the hole, to complete an “X.”

18. Cross back to the first hole. Wrap the wire around the hole twice, and trim off any remaining wire.

19. Once the slider is added, add the beads as described in Steps 1–9.
