Eye of the Sea Earrings
Candie Cooper

Materials:
2 Silver pinch bails
2 Crystal droplets, top drilled
2 Quick Links, 30mm round diamond cut
2 Quick Links, 25mm round
2 Quick Links,  20 mm round
2 Silver jump rings, 6mm
2 Silver jump rings, 4mm
1 Pair of modern ear wires

Tools:
Chasing hammer
Steel bench block
Chain nose pliers
Flat nose pliers

Instructions:

1  Open the pinch bail just enough so the crystal droplet can fit into the opening.

2  Align the prongs on the bail with the holes in the crystal and pinch the bail closed so the prongs sit inside the crystal.

3  Lay the medium sized Quick Link on the steel block and hammer one side with the round end of the chasing hammer to create a “planished” texture.

4  Hold the jump ring with chain nose pliers so the opening of the ring is at the top (12 o’clock position).   Twist the ring open approximately 1/8 of an inch.

5  Hang the crystal, small, medium, and large Quick Links on the jump ring.

6  Close the ring so everything is secure and there are no sneaky gaps.

7  Use the small jump ring to connect the hole in the ear wire to the large jump ring, taking care that the set of rings hangs with the textured sides outward.
