Wire Knitted Watchband

Materials Needed
1 purchased watch face
Beadalon® 5 yds. #28 gauge gold tone wire (or color of your choice)
136 assorted size beads (2mm to 8mm)
One 00 steel crochet hook
One pair #7 knitting needles
One gold toggle clasp
Beadalon® Wire Cutters
Beadalon® Needle Nose Pliers

Instructions
1.Cut wire into 2 lengths each 2 ½ yards (90inches) long.
2. With the needle nose pliers, curl a knot in one end of the wire. Thread 68 assorted beads onto the wire.
3. Cast 5 stitches with the crochet hook as follows: Fold 1 ½” of the wire along the watchband bar, with the crochet hook reach under the bar and pull up one loop. Pull the wire through the loop on the hook. Leave the loop on the crochet hook. Repeat 4 more times to have 5 stitches on the crochet hook. Transfer the stitches to one #7 knitting needle.
4. Knit the next row placing one bead in each stitch.
5. Purl the next row with a bead in each stitch.. Work even for 13 rows or desired length.
6. Next row, work 2 stitches together to decrease. Work the next stitch, decrease with the next 2 stitches to leave 3 stitches on the needle.
7. With the crochet hook pull a loop through all the stitches.
8. Thread the loop through the small opening on the toggle bar. Pull a loop through the loop. Pull the remaining wire completely through the chain loop. Wrap the wire tightly around the chain several times to secure the toggle to the bracelet. Trim the excess wire. Pinch the cut end into the twist tightly, with the needle nose pliers to conceal the end.
9. Weave the beginning excess wire into the watch band. Trim away any excess.
10. Repeat for the other side.
