Satin Gold and Silver beading wire is a wonderful way to incorporate the look of gold and silver into your jewelry designs without the cost of precious metal. And the matte finish looks beautiful with glass and gemstone beads.

Satin wires are available in extra small, small and medium diameters. Choose the diameter based on the hole size of the beads you’re using. Like other flexible beading wires, Satin Silver and Satin Gold are made of stainless steel wires twisted together inside a nylon coating. The special coating on the Satin wire is silky soft and has a beautiful drape.

Here are some ways you can take advantage of the metallic look and incorporate some silky satin wire into your designs:

Silver Splendor: String beads onto a center section and add shorter pieces of satin wire to make tons of dangles. Crimp beads hold the glass beads in place on the wire. Braid the ends to complete the necklace. A crimp clasp keeps the braid together.

Eye of the Tiger: Weave several strands together and use beads of varying sizes to hold them in place. Combine several longer pieces of wire with large tiger’s eye disks to create your own pendant. Crimp beads hold the disks in place on the wire.

Woven Sparkler: String crystals and crimp beads all the way around the necklace and add shorter pieces of wire to create the sparkler effect. Each of the short wires is crimped into place and crimps are used to hold the crystals on the wire. You can add a drop of glue to the crystals to prevent them from sliding up the wire.

As you can see, the matte finish of the wire highlights the gorgeous beads and the exposed wire creates some really dramatic effects!
