Mary Hettmansperger is a Fiber Artist with her focus on metals, basketry,
beadwork and fiber arts. She has had a life long hand in the art field
and its creative process. Mary has taught at Arrowmont, Convergence, Bead&Button,
National Basketry and Fiber Conferences, regional events, Guilds and private
workshops for over 25 years. Mary has her work published in several books,
including, Fiberarts Design Book 7, The Gourd book, Creative Scarecrows
and yard art, Fabulous Found object jewelry, Teapots- collectors, 500
baskets, and magazines: Fiberarts, Art Jewelry, Bead&Buttton and Beadwork.
She also exhibits at Art fairs, and Galleries. She has won several awards
for her pieces in Rib Construction basketry, beadwork and her gourd work.
Mary’s first book was published by Lark/Sterling – Fabulous
Woven Jewelry was released January/2006. She is currently working on her
2nd book in jewelry.
