Beading Awl with Bead Tip

Instructions:

To attach a bead tip (http://www.beadalon.com/BeadTips.asp) at the end of a jewelry design, pass the thread through the hole in the bead tip. Tie the thread in an overhand knot and place the tip of a beading awl (http://www.beadalon.com/DesignerBeadingAwl.asp)  inside the knot. As you pull the thread tight, hold the beading awl tip there to ensure that the knot is in the proper place inside the bead tip.

If the thread is thin enough that it may slip through the hole when knotted, then you may need to add a seed bead inside the bead tip. Knot around the seed bead.

Add a drop of jeweler's cement to the knot and let it dry before cutting off any extra thread.
