Use the Spiral Maker http://www.beadalon.com/SpiralMaker.asp and ColourCraft® wire http://www.beadalon.com/ColourCraft.asp,
German Style Plated Wire http://www.beadalon.com/GermanStylePlatedWire.asp
or any other soft wire to create decorative spirals.

Cut three 1 ½" lengths of wire in the same gauge as the desired spiral (up to 20-gauge).

Loosen the nuts on top of the acrylic plates on the Spiral Making Tool. Loop a 1 ½" piece of wire around each screw to form a washer between the acrylic plates. Tighten each nut.

Insert a long piece of the same gauge wire between the acrylic plates and guide the wire toward the hole in the center of the acrylic plates.

Insert the twisting handle so the wire nests in the slit located in the handle end. Turn the handle until the spiral reaches the desired diameter (up to 5/8").

Remove the handle, loosen the nuts and remove the finished spiral.

To make identical spirals, count the number of turns. Remember that the washers must be the same gauge as the spirals or the spirals will not turn out properly. To flatten a spiral, place it on a mini anvil and use the flat end of a chasing hammer to strike it.
